Yoenis Cespedes clobbered the first one over the right field wall before Michael Conforto became just the second player in Mets history, and first rookie, to homer in his first postseason at-bat three batters later.
Mets starter Noah Syndergaard was cruising until the seventh inning as well. He left the game after allowing three earned runs in6 1/3 innings, but he did strike out nine.

Goat: Mets manager Terry Collins. Hindsight is often 20/20, but it didn't take a lot to realize Collins left Syndergaard in the game too long. The Mets hurler entered the seventh inning already at more than 100 pitchesand looked like he was wearing down a bit in the sixth inning. Yet, Collins decided to send Syndergaard back out for what became the deciding seventh inning.
Takeaway: The Dodgers lineup finally woke up late in Game 2. After struggling to produce anything through 15 innings in the postseason, Los Angeles caught fire in the seventh inning Saturday. The next two games will be in New York, so the Mets still have a chance to close out the series at home.
