Types of residence permits
The Finnish government issues the following types of residence permits:

Settlement permit in the form of a card with the letter P, also known locally as:

Permanent residency in the form of a card with the letter A, also known locally as:
Jatkuva oleskelulupa
Temporary residence permit in the form of a card with the letter B, also known locally as:
