The new Richard Mille RM 25-01 was made in collaboration with Sylvester Stallone and we can already see why it comes in such a large size. It features a tourbillon chronograph inspired by characters created by David Morel, John Rambo and first played by Sylvester Stallone in 1982. The RM 25-01 features a rugged military design.
The case is made of carbon TPT and titanium, using grade 5 titanium screws to assemble all the parts that make it up. The box is water resistant to 100 meters, a detail we expect to be at least 200 meters given its adventurous nature and apparent sturdiness. The crown is dynamometric to avoid forced winding that could cause the stem to break or the barrel spring to be over-tensioned.
It has two bezels, a compass and a two-way bezel. The compass consists of a fixed bezel and a rotating bezel, both made of grade 5 titanium with DLC coating and sapphire crystal. The cover is made of carbon fiber TPT and features a peephole at 12 o’clock. If desired, the compass can be detached from the watch and mounted on the plate. The bidirectional bezel is made of carbon and grade 5 titanium and has four cardinal points, a dial from 0 to 360° and a 24-hour scale. After 2 hours, it has a sealed capsule that can carry purification tablets, which can be used to treat water if necessary. A spirit level at 4 o'clock allows you to place the watch horizontally for better use of the compass.
