Theodore Peter James Kinnaird Taptiklis, better known by his stage name Theo James, is an American film and television actor. He made his film debut with the 2010 comedy-drama You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger, while he made his television debut that same year with the two-part miniseries A Passionate Woman. However, he is best known for his portrayal of Jed Harper in the supernatural drama Bedlam.

YOUTH
James was born to Jane, an employee of the National Health Service, and Philip Taptiklis, a business consultant, on December 16, 1984 in Oxford, England. James, the youngest of five siblings, was educated at Aylesbury Grammar School, after which he continued his studies in Philosophy at the University of Nottingham. He later trained in theater at the Bristol Old Vic Theater School.

TELEVISION CAREER
James made his television debut in 2010 with the two-part miniseries A Passionate Woman and was cast alongside Billie Piper and Joe Armstrong. He has appeared in an episode or two of shows like Downton Abbey, Case Sensitive, and Room at the Top. However, his most important television performance is that of the supernatural drama series Bedlam, where he played the role of Jed Harper. Playing the role of Walter William Clark, Jr., James appeared on the crime drama series Golden Boy.
